The 1st Annual Hope Floats Challenge is North America's first and only Breast Cancer Survivor focused event, open to all National and International BCS crews, as well as Cancer Survivor/ Supporter, PARAdragon, and Special Needs crews. Teams will compete in 200m, 500m and 2000m racing, following the championship point system to declare the overall challenge winners.

The Cancer Survivor/Supporter division includes ALL cancer survivors and their supporters, with crews will be made up of 50% cancer survivor athletes and 50% supporters.
PARAdragon crews will be made up of 50% PARA athletes and 50% non-PARA athletes. PARAdragons is the term used by the IDBF to describe paddlers who have some form of physical, psychological, neurological, sensory, developmental or intellectual impairment. Special Needs crews are made up of non-competitive athletes and will compete in their own division. These crews will be made up of 50% Special Needs athletes, and 50% non-Special Needs athletes.
*Out of Province pricing applies to all teams that are travelling from outside of Ontario.
**International pricing applies to all teams that are not from Canada.

Race Format
All BCS teams:
PARA & Supporter Teams
Park gates will open at 7:00am and the registration tent will open at 7:30am for all teams to complete the check-in process. Team captains meeting will be held at 7:45am with the first race being marshalled at 8:00am.
BCS Teams
Medals will be awarded to first, second and third place (point totals). Plaques will be awarded to the fourth, fifth and sixth place teams.
PARA
Medals will be awarded to the first-place team. Plaques will be awarded to the second and third place teams.
Supporter
Medals will be awarded to the first-place team. Plaques will be awarded to the second and third place teams.
Awards will be handed out after the conclusion of each division final.
Each team will receive 25 medals, however if you need additional medals, you may purchase them for $10 each.
