**Community Intro Package For teams with 12 maximum participants, with no specific gender make-up Includes 2 practices and the Port Perry regatta; will race in a separate “Intro Division”

All teams have the opportunity to book 2 practice sessions – the schedule for practice availability will be sent out 1 month prior to the festival. Teams who require a steersperson for practices can book one for an additional $100/practice. (Steerspeople on Festival day are provided at no extra cost).

Scugog Community Recreation Centre, 1655 Reach Street, Port Perry, Ontario (Parking site)

Directions to parking site:
From Toronto, take Hwy 401 E towards Kingston.
Take exit 410 to Brock Street S.
Continue on Brock Street S to Baldwin Street S/Hwy 12 N.
Keep left to continue on Baldwin Street S/Hwy 12 N.
Turn right on Reach Street.

 

All participants must park at the Scugog Community Recreation Centre. Shuttle buses will be provided from the Recreation centre to the Festival site from 6:30am-6:30pm. All vehicles illegally parked will be tagged and/or towed at the Townships discretion.

Race Format:

  • Women’s/BCS division will race a 200m heat which seeds into a 200m division final
  • Women’s/BCS combined 200m heat and 200m final will seed into a 200m combined final
  • Mixed/Intro divisions will race 2 x 200m heats, and combined time will seed into a 200m combined final

Shuttle buses begin running at 6:30am and race head quarters will open at 7:30am for teams to complete any outstanding registration documents. Captain’s meeting to take place at 8:30am at the Festival Pergola on the public warf (northeast side of the Latchmen Centre). Marshalling for first race will begin at 8:45am. Closing ceremonies will take place at 4:00pm.

Awards

Gold, Silver & Bronze medals will be awarded to the top 3 teams in all Division A finals (Mixed, Women, Intro)

Gold medals will be awarded to the top team in all other division finals (B-Z).

An award for the Best Dressed team will be handed out, as well as the Bill & Carol Gonder Cup for the fastest local team.

Each team will receive 25 medals, and each Introductory Team will receive 15 medals, however if you need additional medals, you may purchase them for $10 each.

Vendor fees are $85 +hst and all vendors receive:

  • A 10x10 space in a prime area of the park
  • Website & logo promotion on our Festival page
  • Promotion through our team information bulletins

Vendors who select to be Race Sponsors (for an additional $25) will also receive logo/website promotion on our race schedule (printed and online) and company promotion/announcements over the loud speaker throughout the festival.

*Please note: In order to best serve our participants, we reserve the right to turn down vendor applications if we feel as though the market is already covered in this area. Port Perry vendors are also required to obtain a Hawkers & Peddlers permit in order to become a vendor at the Port Perry festival.
